Known as the founding father of Iraqi photography, Latif Ali Ani captured the country in its cosmopolitan Golden Age from the late 1950s to the outbreak of the Iran-Iraq War in 1980. His work fell into obscurity for years but is now enjoying a well-deserved rediscovery.
